It's that time of year where it takes me months to decide on what Christmas card I am going to send out. This is my first possibility.
I was inspired by a layout challenge on splitcoasters and a card created by jentimko which may be seen at: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1444736
Cardstock: Red, Ripe Avocado, and White
Stamps: Winter Post by SU (main image) and Merry and Bright by PTI (text)
Accessories: Riding Hood Red 1 1/4" Grosgrain Striped Ribbon by SU, Buttons from PTI and Lipstick Red Copic (R29)

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!!!"

This card was inspired by Nicole at Papertrey Inc. Her blog is fabulous and I encourage you to visit it often. I am also in love with Papertrey stamps. Her blog can be viewed at http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
My card is with a different stamp set and I added a button and gem in the middle of the flower, as well as stamped on the ribbon and created a scallop edge along the bottom.
This is not the best photo, and if I made this again I would use a smaller button in the center of the flower.
My sister is here visiting, and its her job to crochet me a zillion flowers. I tried - its hopeless.

Her site is wonderful and I encourage you to visit. A very talented individual.
My verson includes a brown button with twine in the center of the flower, leaves which have been stamped onto designer paper, a felt type ribbon added, no brown strip added and not side ribbon with buttons.
