Butterfly Dreams - Inspired by Dawn McVey

My inspiration for this card is Dawn McVey. I cannot tell you how much the ladies of Papertrey inspire me - I draw something from each and everyone of you. Nicole's Blog is a stop for me every morning with my coffee before I head off to work.

My card:
Recipe
(All products Papertrey Inc., unless otherwise stated)

Stamp Set: Butterfly Dream and an older lady bug set by PTI for the antennae
Cardstock: Pure Poppy, Black, White and Vellum
Ink: Black and Stazon Black
Accessories: Pure Poppy Ribbon, Black Felt, Medium Scallop Die, DecoColor Liquid Gold Opaque Paint Marker (Marvy) and Fuschia Glitter Marker (American Crafts)

I had difficulty with my felt laying flat at the ends of the card. I wrapped it around which made it too thick. Next time I will cut it even with the front edge of the card.

You did a great job recreating Dawn's card while putting your own spin on it. I like how you stamped the "thank you" directly on the ribbon. Beautiful card.

I love the inspiration card you chose...those colours are great. And even though I could see the elements you used from Dawn's card, you really made it your own...fabulous!!
