He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world - I John 4:4

God's peace is not an escape from reality. We are not somehow mentally "removed" from feeling pain or struggling . . . Rather, peace is an undergirding[1] rock-solid foundation so that no matter the tears we cry or the sorrow we feel, deep down inside we know with an abiding[2] assurance[3] that God is with us. God is in control, and the joy of the Lord is going to emerge far greater than any depth of agony we may be experiencing.

[1] Undergirding means – like a bridge has supports to hold it up or like a house has a foundation to hold it up.  It is a strong support and foundation.
[2] Abiding means – never stops, long lasting, unshakable, permanent
[3] Assurance means – promise, pledge, guarantee

Papertrey Stamp-a-faire

Stamp-a-faire create a card set challenge.  I made this card as a Christmas card.  I didn't notice the wrinkle in the designer paper until I took a Macro photo of the card.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Winterberry and the limited edition "a big thank you"
Cardstock:  White and unknown red polka dot designer paper
Ink:  Spring Moss, Black and Red
Accessories:  YG13 Chartruese Copic, R29 Lipstick Red Copic, Winterberry die, Edger#3 die

The original challenge I participated is from Betsy Veldman at http://scrapbookgirl.typepad.com/paper_scissors_and_superh/2012/07/camp-card-set-challenge.html

Mini Booklet Challenge

I tried another Papertrey challenge for a mini photo book.  I finished my base; left to complete is the inside pages although you can see a "peek a boo" of the second page.  Thank you for viewing.

Used all Winter Wisteria Pattern Pack prints for the mini book and thought it only appropriate to have the cover using "Shutterbug Special" stamp set.

Again this card is from Papertrey's Stamp A Faire today.  The challenge was "Limited Supply".  However, I did not follow the instructions (until I was finished with this card).  I was only to use specific colors mentioned in the challenge.  The challenge can be viewed at http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
Thank you for viewing.

Supplies:
Stamp Set:  Natural Beauties and Turning a New Leaf
Ink:  Rose Romance, Ripe Avocado and Black
Cardstock:  Harvest Gold, White and Simply Chartreuse, Summer Sunrise
Accessories:  Turning a New Leaf Dies, Yellow/Orange Buttons, White Twine and Dimensionals

Mini Book Challenge

I only had time to complete two pages for my minibook.  I am going to insert small photographs in the pockets of my grandaughter and make more pages.  You can see the original inspiration at:    http://lilybeanpaperie.typepad.com/lilybeans_paperie/2012/07/stamp-a-faire-memory-preservation.html

This was for the stamp a faire at papertrey today.  It was the ribbon challenge.  Frustrated I could not master the ribbon technique, but did use Ashley Newell's layout.  However, I used a different flower die, colors and designer paper.

Supplies
Cardstock:  Ivory, Pretty Pastels Designer Paper, Summer Sunrise Pattern Pack
Stamps:  Think Big Favorites #18
Dies:  Beautiful Blooms II Dies and Rosie Posie Dies
Ink:  Raspberry Fizz and Kraft
Accessories:  1" circle punch, spring moss ribbon and dimensionals

PTI Stamp A Faire

Good-morning
This morning is Papertrey's Stamp A Faire all day.  The first make and take was created by Nicole Heady.  My version is the same, except that I added some dimension by popping up an additional flower and leaves on the sentiment strip.  Nicole's can be seen at http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/

My version is below:
