Quote For the Day

A peer at work sent me this quote yesterday. It sure hit me just right!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!!!"

Seattle WA - Space Needle

Photo taken by: Laura Phipps
My niece visited this month and I learned so much about her. She is an incredible photographer and artist. Interesting perspective of the space needle isn't it? Maybe we will see her photographs in magazines one day.

Flower Photo

This is a photo I printed out onto photo paper. Wouldn't it be a great idea for your sister's birthday to print out an old photo of both of you and use it as the focal point of your handmade card.
Recipe
Stamps: Heart Print Sentiments
Paper: White, 2008 Bitty Box Basics DP (Papertrey)
Ink: Black
Accessories: Spring Moss Ribbon and Green Button

There is no one like you

This card was inspired by Nicole at Papertrey Inc. Her blog is fabulous and I encourage you to visit it often. I am also in love with Papertrey stamps. Her blog can be viewed at http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/

My card is with a different stamp set and I added a button and gem in the middle of the flower, as well as stamped on the ribbon and created a scallop edge along the bottom.

Recipe

Stamps: Background Text and Friends to the End
Paper: White, Ocean Tides, Spring Moss
Ink: Ripe Avocado, Fresh Snow, Ocean Tides
Accessories: Button, Clear Daisy Gem, Ribbon and Scallop Punch

Crochet Flower

This is not the best photo, and if I made this again I would use a smaller button in the center of the flower.

My sister is here visiting, and its her job to crochet me a zillion flowers. I tried - its hopeless.

Recipe

Stamps: Flower Garden and Floral Frenzy (PTI)
Paper: White, Pink Bitty Polka Dot DP, Green Bitty Box Basics DP
Ink: Ripe Avocado
Accessories: Pink Piorette ribbon (su), Button, Crocheted Flower
