Color Pop Florals

I just couldn't wait to use my new stamp set called "Color Pop Florals".  It is a Make It Market Mini Kit released this month by Papertrey Ink.  It comes with stencils, dies and even papers that have the florals on it that you can color.  I chose to use copics and inks to color my patterned paper and I loved the end result.

Have a Happy Birthday PTI Challenge

We've put a little something fun together for you today in honor of the last day of our anniversary countdown!  We present the Paper Crafting Alphabet Challenge!  Use anywhere from the first three to ALL of the letters in your first or last name.  Write the letters in a single column on a piece of scratch paper and then use the chart below as a reference for each of those letters, making notes about what you need to incorporate into your project.  If you have a "double" letter, skip the duplicate letter and move onto the next letter in your name.  Use your first or last name, depending on which one has a more interesting array of letters.  If you want to keep things simple, just use the first three letters of your name, if you want something more complex and challenging use all of the letters in your name!  And most importantly, have fun!


The first 3 letters in my name are JOA and I pulled out a stamp set I have never inked.  In fact, when I purchased it, I asked myself why?  Because I am not a fan of southwest design.  However, this card came out good and I know just the friend who would like it.  I created ombre borders on the whole card base and put a rhinestone in the center of the focal point.

Papertrey 9th Anniversary 2016 - Challenge 5

In honor of our 9th Anniversary, you are challenged to cut nine 1-1/2” squares from white cardstock, then alter all nine of the squares using a variety of techniques, colors, stamps, etc. Be sure to do something different to each square!  Cut lots of extra squares so you can experiment and have fun!  If you are running short on ideas you can always go through the Make It Monday archives.  Once you have completed them, adhere the nine squares to a 5-1/2” x 5-1/2” square card front and share their masterpiece on our InLinkz list below!

My creation is below.  I used different color Gelatos to color the background of each square.  Some were sprayed with a tiny bit of water and blended in with a sponge and others were just the Gelatos with no water.

With all of the new projects shared by our team during the release, we know you are left with lots of ideas and "I have to try that!" moments.  We present the "Create Along With Us" challenge.  This challenge allows you to select something that the amazing team has created during the release that inspired you, and create your own version.  Your project could use a color scheme that inspired you, a technique, revisit an older set, etc...
