All About You MIM

This is my creation for this week's MIM "Creating Mixed Background Texture Challenge #331.  All products are Papertrey Ink, unless otherwise stated.  I adored this challenge.  I've had my granddaughter here for a week and haven't been able to participate in any of the card making challenges or the July Blog Hop - it feels nice to be back to normal.  I purposely forced myself to use an older flower set.  Every time a new floral comes out it becomes my new favorite.  It was a joy to pull out an oldie but goodie.

Wonderful Friend MIM Challenge#329 - Stretching Your Dies

Everything that could go wrong that could go wrong on this card.  I struggled through it thinking "remember mistakes can become beauty".  Well I got as close as I could.  First I noticed I was heavy handed with the color I used for ink blending, then I had chosen a round die to use as a pattern for my sponging and my frame to hide the ink blending behind was square.  On top of that my desk is such a mess I couldn't find my dies for the flowers and had to fussy cut.  Here is the result:

I didn't get to this Splitcoaststampers Virtual Stamping Night challenge until this morning, but am in love with the creation of Dr. Sonja.  I did not put the ribbon around it as she did, but rather used Velcro.  I plan on either using it for a gift card or possibly some small note cards as a gift.

JUL18VSND - Here's The Scoop

 

I am not the best when it comes to coloring but this stamp by MFT just popped in my head when I read the challenge.  Its a Clean and Simple card, unlike most of my other creations.  Its funny how one thing can be a challenge to someone and not to another.

Ice Cream is my one down fall and I don't believe in a bowl.  Just wrap a towel around it and eat right from the carton.
